Game Like Situations

Game Like Situations
How does your son or daughter do the thing they like most, play games, and not continue to reinforce bad habits with little or no improvement?
GLC: Game Like Situations

Let's face it the players would rather play games than work to improve their game. Games are fine and can be a good learning experience but most of the time playing in games only reinforce bad habits.
G.L.C. (Game Like Situations) is a fast pace clinic, emulating game like situations. How do we do that?
Games of 3 on 3
College full court competitive drills.
The clinic will quickly jump between 3 on 3 games and competitive full court drills.

3 0n 3
Competitive games of 3 on 3. Games of three on three with coaches stopping games and making corrections.
Three on three is one of the best tools to teach the fundamental basketball.
With fewer players on the court players get more touches and more opportunities to score. they can see what is going on in the game. all three players are involved scoring, moving without the ball, on and off the ball screens.
Coaches can more easily correct issues because there are only six players on the court. Players are required to play on the ball defense and help defense. It is easier to focus on teaching boxing out.
If a player masters the principles of 3 on 3, they have mastered the game.

Full court Drills
Players are required today to play a fast transition game. On offense ATTACK and get back on defense.  Players will be put thru competitive full court fast transition drills.
They will be taught the mental concept  and importance of the transition game.
Players must transition from offense to defense in an instant.
In other sports there is a more organized and predictable change of possession. In basketball this can happen in an instant: Stolen ball, rebound and quick turnovers.
Master the half court game with 3 on 3 and then add the full court game.
